I overturned the two maple stumps yesterday and the last big filbert clump. I know what I am doing Monday and Tuesday, i.e., pecking out dirt and chainsawing! Fun! We have taken out trees in the last year...still have a lot from a big old cedar tree. Unable to burn here, have given some logs away. Trying to figure out what to do with the rest of it. Hope you get your greenhouse. I foresee mucho festiva living with the thing. As to the greenhouse, my goal this Summer is to build a deep, level base for it. I see more shoveling. Oh, my aching . . .! Thanks for reading. As to a stumpery, if you look in the background of one of the photos you may see a pile of red fir chunks and stumps that we plan to watch decompose for the next 10 years. We are so much fun! Thanks. Next time you are in Federal Way, stop by the Rhododendron Species Foundation and check out the Hardy Fern Foundation's stumpery. Some people would pay to have problem like yours! We have to rely on digging out the small stuff and bringing in stump grinders for the big stuff here as there isn't room to winch these out - and burning the debris isn't an option. I expect I'll be encountering large roots from the 60-foot Eucalyptus we had removed for the rest of my life...Kris Petersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07097260283693156795noreply@blogger.com
